Clean Kinetics Raises $3.34M in Series A Funding Round

Clean Kinetics, a renewable energy company based in Hong Kong, has raised S$4.3 million (about $3.34 million) in a Series A funding round. The money will help the company grow its projects and expand internationally in the renewable energy field.

Clean Kinetics said the funding round was led by private investors supported by a few regional family offices.

The investment will help Clean Kinetics grow its business and take on more projects. The company plans to expand its solar energy portfolio and increase the total power capacity of its projects to over 1.2 gigawatts.

These projects are spread across countries like Singapore, Malaysia, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, and Thailand, where the company already has offices and project sites.

As industries grow, more people use electric vehicles (EVs), and AI-powered data centers need more energy, the electricity demand is rising. Thanks to supportive government policies, clean energy has become a smart and affordable way to meet this growing need.

In the Middle East, the UAE and Saudi Arabia have set goals to get more of their electricity from renewable energy. By 2030, the UAE aims for 30%, and Saudi Arabia aims for 50% of their electricity to come from clean energy sources.

Clean Kinetics said it is ready to help with clean energy projects in the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

“This is a very exciting time for Clean Kinetics. Our strong track record has led to us securing a bigger pipeline of projects and assets while providing more innovative solutions via our holistic monitoring and maintenance systems and financing platform,

“This successful round and level of capital raised – amidst the uncertainty in international trade and policies -reaffirms our unique proposition and capabilities to develop quality renewable energy assets globally, especially in our key markets, which have rising energy infrastructure and power needs”, said Wilson Lee, Clean Kinetics Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer.

Clean Kinetics’ Co-founder and Chief Development Officer, Lee Kah Lup, said the investors have strong experience in areas like edible oils, hospitality, and real estate.

He also mentioned that these investors plan to grow into health and wellness, traditional medicine, and sustainable businesses.

” As strategic partners, their commitment to integrating renewable energy into their operations as part of broader sustainability initiatives presents valuable synergy,

“Together, we look forward to further growing our portfolio and strengthening our regional presence,” he added.

Clean Kinetics is a renewable energy company that has a strong presence in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. They specialize in building and running solar and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

So far, the company has helped install more than 1.4 million solar panels, creating over 800 megawatts of power from large and commercial solar projects around the world.
