CLR Facility Services Secures $15 Million Funding from British International Investment

CLR Facility Services, a company that provides cleaning and maintenance services for buildings, has raised $15 million (about ₹125 crore) from British International Investment (BII) — the UK’s official development finance and impact investment organization.

The money raised will help CLR Facility Services grow its business across India. It will be used to expand its cleaning and maintenance services, train more workers, and improve its environmental and social practices.

CLR Facility Services started in Pune and offers a range of services to businesses, including cleaning, engineering, mechanical maintenance, and production support.

The company currently has over 20,000 blue-collar workers and runs its operations in nine states across India.

“This investment will empower us to create more opportunities for our workforce, drive innovation in facility management, and extend our impact across new markets,” said Gaurav Pathak and Gautam Pathak, promoters and directors of CLR Facility Services.

CLR Facility Services plans to grow its team to 50,000 workers over the next 5 to 7 years. A big part of this plan is to hire more women and people from underserved communities.

The company will also set up training centres in smaller cities (tier-II cities) to help untrained and semi-skilled workers learn the skills they need for jobs.

CLR Facility Services is known for its strong focus on training and creating job opportunities. Today, 25% of its employees are women. Back in 2018, the company received its first major investment from First Bridge Investment Managers.

CLR Facility Services works with over 160 clients. It competes with other big companies in the facility management industry, like BVG India, UDS, and ISS Facility Services.
