Cumin Co. Raises $1.5 Million in Funding Round Led by Fireside Ventures

Cumin Co., a kitchenware brand, has raised $1.5 million ( INR 13.16 crore) in its first institutional funding round, led by Fireside Ventures with support from Huddle Ventures.

The company plans to use the funds to expand enamel coating production in India and strengthen its supply chain.

“When we began exploring healthy cookware, we were clear that teflon was not an option. Traditional non-stick coatings such as teflon contain chemicals like PTFE, PFOA, and PFAS, which we believe should not come in contact with food,” Niharika Joshi, co-founder of Cumin Co, said.

Cumin Co. was co-founded in 2025 by Niharika Joshi and Udit Lekhi in Gurugram. The brand focuses on cookware that combines stylish design with practical use, while avoiding harmful chemicals found in many traditional non-stick or metal options.

The startup makes 100% toxin-free enamel cast iron cookware, like pots and pans, offering the strength of traditional cookware with modern safety. Its products, priced between ₹1,999 and ₹7,000, are mainly aimed at households with annual incomes of ₹30–35 lakh and above.

Cumin Co. sells mainly through its own website and Amazon using a direct-to-consumer model, which helps offer better pricing and an improved customer experience.

The brand also emphasizes sustainability by using plastic-free packaging and responsibly sourced materials.

The startup claims to have achieved INR 1 crore in monthly recurring revenue (MRR), growing at a rate of 20% per month, driven by strong repeat sales.

It now plans to expand into quick-commerce platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart in select categories.
