CureBay buys Saveo’s pharma distribution business

CureBay has acquired the pharmacy distribution business of Saveo Healthtech. CureBay is supported by investors like Bertelsmann India Investments, Elevar Equity, and British International Investment (BII).

Saveo’s pharmacy distribution business is a tech-enabled B2B platform that supplies medicines to over 10,000 retail pharmacies across Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu, with main hubs in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

With this acquisition, CureBay gains a ready-made distribution network, including warehouses, procurement systems, digital ordering tools, and an experienced team. It also benefits from Saveo’s processes, supplier relationships, and expertise, helping CureBay expand its medicine distribution business into new regions.

Priyadarshi Mohapatra, Founder and CEO, CureBay said, “Medicines are central to continuity of care. By acquiring Saveo’s pharmacy distribution business, we are strengthening our ability to ensure consistent and affordable access to medicines across the communities we serve. We see significant value in Saveo’s operating processes, procurement depth and experienced team. This integration accelerates our pharmacy roadmap, enables us to scale faster and improves customer satisfaction by reducing supply gaps and enhancing reliability.”

Amit Kumar, Co-Founder, Saveo said, “Saveo has built a disciplined, technology-first distribution business designed to serve pharmacies efficiently. By becoming part of CureBay, our platform, processes and team will now support a broader healthcare network and help strengthen medicine access at scale.”

CureBay was founded by Priyadarshi Mohapatra and runs more than 190 eClinics across 15,000 villages. It has already helped over one million patients.

The company offers services like online doctor consultations, diagnostic tests, access to medicines, and referrals. It uses a mix of physical clinics and digital tools to provide these services.
