He will focus on strengthening the Curlec Payment platform, helping over 5,000 businesses access secure and smooth payment services, and supporting financial inclusion in the region.

Curlec can handle up to 1,000 transactions per second and remains committed to innovation, security, and customer-focused growth in Southeast Asia’s fast-growing digital economy.

As part of its growth strategy, Curlec by Razorpay is focused on expanding its merchant network, strengthening payment security, and launching new features to enhance the customer experience.

With over 18 years of experience in the payments and fintech industry, Kevin Lee brings strong leadership, deep industry knowledge, and strategic vision that will help drive Curlec’s next stage of growth, innovation, and regional expansion.

His track record in leading large-scale digital payment initiatives makes him well-suited to guide Curlec’s push toward tech-driven product innovation.

His leadership will be instrumental in advancing our vision to build cutting-edge, future-ready payment solutions that will redefine how Malaysian businesses and consumers experience digital payments,” said Shashank Kumar, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Razorpay India.

Kevin Lee, a seasoned expert in fintech, has played a key role in shaping digital payments across emerging markets.

He joined GHL Systems Berhad (now NTT Data Payment Services) in 2009 and held several leadership roles over the years. Starting as International Sales Manager, he led the company’s expansion into the Middle East and Africa. In 2019, he became CEO of GHL Malaysia, driving strong growth and digital innovation.

Over the past decade, Lee has led major e-payment projects across ASEAN, the Middle East, and Africa, earning a reputation as a strategic leader in the payments industry. His experience spans business development, product strategy, sales, marketing, and partnerships with global payment networks, fintechs, and top merchants.

Lee holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software and Computer Engineering from Coventry University, UK. His blend of technical know-how and business insight positions him well to guide Curlec’s growth in Malaysia’s fast-changing fintech space.

“I’m excited to join Curlec at a time when technology is transforming finance in Malaysia,” said Lee. “Curlec and Razorpay’s focus on innovation and supporting businesses really speaks to me.
