Package.AI Story: A Gap To Business, Focused On Transforming Last-Mile Logistics with AI

Israeli entrepreneurs  Ziv Fass(Co-Founder and CEO) and Yoav Sadeh(Co-Founder and CTO) are on a mission to address a gap in online shopping. Their startup, Package.AI, is transforming retail operations by combining customer engagement with logistics efficiency.

Founders’s journey started when Fass dealt with a disappointing experience. This experience led him to find a significant gap in the market. With a ground-breaking idea, the founders set out to address this gap.

Beginning in 2016, Fass and Sadeh embarked on their entrepreneurial journey with a passion for making a difference. In 2019, Ralph Shulberg (General Manager NA) teamed up with them, strengthening their efforts toward a common goal.

Frustrating Delivery Experience

One frustrating experience changed everything for Ziv Fass, co-founder of Package.AI.

It all started when he ordered a laptop online. The package was shipped from Silicon Valley, California, but when it arrived, Fass wasn’t at home. Since the delivery required a signature, he missed it. What followed was a stressful scramble to reschedule the delivery—especially difficult as he was preparing to move to Israel.

Eventually, he got his laptop, but the experience left him questioning why the delivery process was still so rigid and inconvenient for customers. As he noticed, Fass realized that his frustration wasn’t unique.

Countless customers faced similar challenges with home deliveries—especially for items that required someone to be present to receive them, from furniture to electronics. The issue wasn’t just about missed deliveries; it was a deeper flaw in the system. Traditional delivery operations worked in isolation, with little coordination between logistics and customer needs.

Bad Experience To Business World

Fueled by determination, Fass discussed this gap with his co-founder Yoav Sadeh to address it.

The gap in the online shopping experience sparked an idea. What if customers had more control over their deliveries? What if the process could be more innovative, more flexible, and truly aligned with modern e-commerce?

Driven by these questions, Fass and Sadeh set out to build Package.AI—a solution designed to bridge the disconnect between delivery management and customer communication, making the entire experience seamless and frustration-free.

Package.AI: Transforming Last-Mile Logistics with AI

Founded in 2017 by Ziv Fass and Yoav Sadeh, Package.AI addresses the frustrations consumers face with shipping by allowing them to communicate their delivery preferences before the logistics companies finalize their delivery schedules.

This includes specifying preferred delivery times, providing instructions (such as leaving the package with a neighbor), and negotiating delivery windows—all before the company plans its routes.

Based in Tel Aviv and New York, Package.AI is a complete customer engagement platform for furniture and appliance retailers. It focuses on streamlining the entire process of online ordering and delivery using its proprietary software. It aims to improve the communication between consumers and delivery companies, providing more flexibility and control to customers over when and how their packages are delivered.

Package.AI’s software integrates with delivery companies’ fleet management systems, helping them create more efficient schedules that align with customer preferences without disrupting overall operations. The company also uses AI to facilitate communication between the delivery company and the consumer via email or SMS, ensuring smoother, more responsive interactions.

Tailored for last-mile logistics, Package.AI helps home furnishings and retail brands increase profits by automating fulfillment and improving customer interaction, offering better control and transparency.

What’s Next: To Modernize Retail Operations With AI

The next plan of Package.ai is to scale its AI-driven platform, grow its customer service teams, and strengthen partnerships with leading retailers worldwide. The company plans to expand its customer base across North America and continue providing tools that help retailers modernize and future-proof their operations.

With the support of the $14M Series A funding led by Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE), the company plans to advance its mission of transforming retail operations by combining customer engagement with logistics efficiency.

The best part of the founders’ story is that instead of ignoring the gap, they saw it as a world full of opportunities and with a clear and unwavering vision of transforming retail operations by combining customer-centric engagement with logistics efficiency, they built a multi-million-dollar worth business.
