Semperis, a cybersecurity company that helps organizations protect and recover their digital identities during cyberattacks, is buying MightyID, a startup that focuses on securing identities for cloud-based platforms. The deal amount was not officially shared, but it is estimated to be around $20 million.
This acquisition helps Semperis grow its services by offering stronger identity security and crisis management across different systems, including Microsoft’s hybrid Active Directory.
By adding MightyID to its identity resilience platform, Semperis will provide organizations that use hybrid identity systems with a wider and more complete set of security tools.
“This strategic move furthers our mission to help organizations achieve true cyber resilience,” said Mickey Bresman, Semperis CEO. “Effective defense means resilience, not just prevention, so operations can continue, even under attack. This acquisition advances our leadership in identity-driven security and crisis management, helping organizations ensure mission continuity in the face of modern cyberattacks.”
Semperis works with over 1,000 organizations, including government bodies and more than 25% of the top 100 companies in the U.S. The company helps protect important identity systems and supports organizations in preventing, handling, and recovering from identity-based cyberattacks.
Semperis is based in Hoboken, New Jersey, and was founded in 2015 by CEO Michael Brezman, CTO Guy Teverovsky, and Matan Liberman, who leads business development and heads the company’s Tel Aviv office.
The company has around 600 employees, including 150 in Tel Aviv. Semperis is growing its development center in Israel, hiring for new roles in different areas, and is also opening a new office in northern Israel.
