Deccan AI raises $25 million round led by A91 Partners

Deccan AI, an AI infrastructure startup, has raised US$25 million in a funding round led by A91 Partners, with support from Susquehanna and existing investor Prosus Ventures. The company aims to build highly accurate AI systems.

The new funds will be used to improve its AI models after training, develop more tools for businesses, and grow its work in robotics and data technology.

“We’ve reached a tipping point where the industry is moving past the ‘chatbot’ phase,” said founder Rukesh Reddy. “Getting an agent to work in a demo is one thing; getting it to handle high-stakes business logic is another.”

“As the world moves from experimentation to execution, the need for evaluation and monitoring becomes non-negotiable,” said Kaushik Anand, partner at A91 Partners.

Deccan AI was founded in 2023 by Rukesh Reddy. In the beginning, the company focused on data and training AI models for advanced AI labs, but now it has expanded into building solutions for businesses.

Today, Deccan AI offers tools that help companies use AI in real-world situations. These tools allow businesses to deploy, monitor, and improve their AI systems easily.

Its products include a platform to track how AI models perform and an enterprise system that uses AI agents to automate back-office and middle-office tasks.

The company is targeting large organizations, including Fortune 500 companies. Its clients include Google DeepMind and Snowflake. It currently has around 10 customers and is managing many active projects at the same time.

Deccan AI is also expanding in India by opening a new office in Bengaluru, along with its existing offices in San Francisco and Hyderabad. Deccan AI was founded in 2023 by Rukesh Reddy.
