Singapore-based corporate venture capital firm V Ventures invested $2 million in Malaysia’s golf platform Deemples to boost growth and user experience. In a statement, Deemples said the investment comes as its Malaysian business has doubled annually for four years.
This investment will help the brand expand in Southeast Asia and enter a new market, according to the statement.
“Our core mission is to create the premier golfing experience empowered by tech to allow our community to play anytime, anywhere, with anyone, “With this new investment, we have set our eyes on further expanding our ecosystem to be truly regional with our services and to significantly enrich the golfing community,” said David Wong, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Deemples.
Since its last fundraising round, it has gone from a personal need to find golf companions to a household name in Malaysia with 200% more active golfers.

The company lets golfers easily plan impromptu rounds, tournaments, club matches, and outings. It meets golfers’ different needs with its tech-first and designed-for-golfers approach, improving their experience.
It claimed the firm helped shape and grow Malaysia’s golfing community. Deemples, the first two-sided marketplace, prioritises consumer and golf course value. The brand connects golfers and creates a golfing network to encourage more golfing. It said this improves users’ experiences and boosts golf course income and attendance.

It said the firm will continue to offer the greatest golf booking and matching experience in Malaysia after a year of steady development.
By using its scalable platform and deep understanding of the golfing community, Deemples plans to expand across Southeast Asia while keeping Malaysia at its centre.
