Drone Startup Enercomp Secures INR 2 Crore in Bridge Funding

Drone technology startup Enercomp Solutions has raised INR 2 crore in a bridge funding round, with support from angel investors.

The funding round was guided by Bestvantage Investments, a company that helps connect fast-growing startups with smart investors in India and the Middle East.

The money raised will be used to grow manufacturing, improve research and development for AI-based drone software, and increase the company’s ability to handle large-scale deliveries across the country.

Enercomp also plans to raise INR 8 crore more over the next year to strengthen its technology, products, and ability to deliver projects.

Enercomp, based in Ahmedabad, works in hardware, software, and services all at once.

The company makes its drones, offers Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS), and has its own GIS analytics platform for mapping and data analysis.

The company says it has built seven of its drone models, including VTOL (take-off and landing), fixed-wing, and surveillance drones.

These drones are already being used in both commercial and government projects.

Enercomp earns 70% of its money from selling its drone products. Its clients include big names like Tata Projects, Reliance, Mahindra Susten, L&T, and several government agencies.

Its software dashboard helps businesses and government clients analyze important data in real time.

The company says its revenue grew from INR 3.1 crore in FY23 to INR 5.6 crore in FY24, while staying profitable. In FY25 so far, it has already made INR 4.2 crore and has future orders worth over INR 9 crore.

So far, Enercomp has raised INR 6.9 crore in earlier funding rounds. Its valuation has grown from INR 12.5 crore to INR 60 crore. The founding team still owns over 80.5% of the company, including a 4% stock option pool for employees.
