[Funding News] Checkmate Secures US$1.6 Million in Seed Funding

Pre-employment screening solutions business Checkmate in New Zealand has closed its US$1.6 million initial fundraising round led by Wavemaker Partners.

The money will be used to support Checkmate’s growth into both new and existing regions, such as the Philippines, Southeast Asia, the US, and Australia.

The cash will also help the business enhance its technological prowess and user interface as more businesses look for dependable and effective pre-employment screening.
