Meanwhile, Alex Wong will replace Michael van Vuuren, who recently moved to a new role at another company.
Welcoming the three, Huynh Thanh Phong, Group Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of FWD Group, said: “The depth and breadth of their experience make them exceptional additions for the next phase of FWD Group’s growth and development as a Hong Kong listed company that’s firmly focused on customers. I look forward to the energy, ambition, and fresh perspectives they will bring to a leadership team who are incredibly committed to our vision of changing the way people feel about insurance.”
Alex Wong has more than 20 years of experience in the international life insurance industry.
Before this role, he worked as Group Chief Actuary at HSBC Life, where he managed actuarial operations across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. He also led the company’s global actuarial center of excellence.
