GoTo Group has announced a leadership change and plans to appoint Hans Patuwo as its new CEO.
Patuwo’s appointment will need approval from shareholders at an Extraordinary General Meeting scheduled for December 17.
He will take over from Patrick Walujo, who has been leading the company since June 2023 and will now step down.
The company said the leadership change followed a careful succession process to ensure stability, maintain strategic plans, and support operational excellence as GoTo focuses on long-term growth and profitability.
Agus Martowardojo, President Commissioner, praised Walujo’s stewardship during a period he characterised as transformative for the group. “Since his appointment in June 2023, he has steered GoTo through a disciplined and strategic turnaround—one that has fundamentally strengthened our financial foundation, sharpened our operational focus, and restored clarity on our long-term direction,” he said.
Martowardojo also voiced confidence in Patuwo’s nomination. “His significant experience within the ecosystem, as well as his commitment to driver-partner and merchant welfare, make him the ideal candidate to drive the Company forward,” he said.
Patuwo joined Gojek in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer and later held leadership roles across GoPay, GoTo Financial, and On-Demand Services, managing operations across the entire ecosystem.
During his tenure, he focused on driving growth, efficiency, and profitability through data-driven operational discipline.
GoTo also announced planned changes to its Board of Directors. Ade Mulyana, the Director of Public Affairs and Communications, has resigned from his position.
Additionally, Commissioners Pablo Malay and Winato Kartono have submitted their resignation letters, signaling further changes to the board.
