Granite Asia and Google Partner to Invest Up to $2 Million in AI Startups

Singapore-based investment firm Granite Asia has joined forces with Google’s AI Futures Fund to put up to $2 million into each chosen AI startup in Asia.

This partnership seeks to help early‑stage AI companies that work in science, industry, work, creativity and entertainment. The program also gives chosen AI startups access to Google’s AI technology and cloud resources.

How the Investment Program Works

AI startups will be found through the Granite Asia Fellows Program. Will be examined together by Granite Asia and Google’s AI Futures Fund.

Granite Asia and Google will each invest under the economic terms but each will finish its investment through its own process.

In addition to funding chosen AI startups will receive up to $350,000 in Google Cloud and Gemini credits.

They will also get access to Google AI models and chances to collaborate with teams from Google and Google DeepMind.

Focus Areas for AI Startups

The program will focus on five areas:

  • AI for science and knowledge
  • AI for industry transformation
  • AI for work
  • AI for creativity
  • AI for entertainment

Founders will keep the freedom to pick the AI technology they use to build their companies.
