Green SM Laos and Star Fintech Sole Co., Ltd (Umoney) have signed an agreement to integrate Umoney into the Green SM app’s payment system.
They have also agreed to work together to build a wider digital finance and smart mobility system in Laos, making payments and transport services more connected and convenient.
Under this agreement, Umoney will be added as a direct payment option inside the Green SM app. This means users can pay for rides easily using Umoney.
Both companies will also connect their systems so Umoney users can book and use Green SM ride services directly through the Umoney platform.
For the first time in Laos, ride payments will be fully cashless and automatic. After a trip ends, the fare will be instantly deducted from the Umoney wallet, instead of using manual bank transfers. Users just need to link their Umoney wallet to the Green SM app for quick and easy payments.
In addition, customers using partner banking apps will also be able to pay drivers using Umoney’s QR code system, making payments faster, safer, and more convenient for everyone.
As part of this partnership, Green SM Laos will offer a range of transport services for Umoney’s business partners and customers. This includes electric ride-hailing (Green SM Car), luxury rides (Green SM Limo), airport transfers, and customized travel plans for companies and individuals.
At the same time, Umoney will work with Green SM to create digital financial tools for drivers. These will include e-wallet services, direct salary payments, expense management, and cash flow tracking.
This partnership is aimed at making operations smoother and improving the experience for businesses, drivers and passengers.
