Groundcover, a startup that helps monitor apps, has raised $35 million in Series B funding, bringing its total to $60 million. The round was led by Zeev Ventures, with support from Heavybit, Jibe Venture and Angular Ventures.
Groundcover says it has built the first “Bring Your Own Cloud” observability platform, which lets customers store monitoring data wherever they prefer—on their own servers or in the cloud. No matter where the data is stored, Groundcover manages both the system and the data for them.
Groundcover’s platform helps monitor how apps and systems are performing by collecting data like error messages, speed, and user activity.
It looks at this data in real time to catch problems early, find out what’s causing them, and fix them before they turn into bigger issues—leading to smoother apps and better user experiences.
What makes Groundcover different is that it lets customers choose where to store their data, giving them more control over security and privacy.

Groundcover offers unlimited data storage and easy-to-understand pricing. It uses a new tech called eBPF to collect logs, metrics, and traces directly from the Linux system.
eBPF works inside the system without changing its core code. This makes monitoring smooth and non-intrusive, while also making it easier to send data to other tools. The result: deeper insights, more accurate data, and a clearer view of how your apps and systems are performing.
Groundcover co-founder and Chief Executive Shahar Azulay (pictured, left), isn’t the slightest bit modest about his platform’s capabilities. He insisted that it provides “much better coverage and value” than legacy application monitoring tools like Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus and others. We are the only solution built with eBPF at the forefront from day one, and we are now pioneering the ‘bring your own cloud’ approach to observability that enables organizations to keep their data on-premises while maintaining all of the benefits of the SaaS experience,”.
Zeev Ventures founder Oren Zev said he’s backing Groundcover because of its eBPF-driven platform and Bring Your Own Cloud approach, which creates new standards in terms of observability depth, cost-effectiveness and security. As the industry continues to shift to richer experiences, such as AI around observability data, Groundcover with its unique and modern architecture is positioned to outpace legacy solutions and dominate the space,”.
