GXBank has partnered with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to help drive the digital transformation of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Malaysia.

the bank said, “As one of Malaysia’s three operational digital banks, we have welcomed more than one million Malaysian customers onto our platform, earning their trust through our simpler, inclusive and convenient banking solutions MSMEs represent the next key demographic for us – we are committed to collaborate with the government on financing schemes that harness the efficiency of digital banks,”.

The statement highlights that financial inclusion is crucial for unlocking the potential of MSMEs. In the past MSMEs have struggled due to outdated banking processes like strict credit checks and long application procedures.

GXBank aims to fix these issues by giving MSMEs better access to opportunities, support, and resources helping them grow and contribute to the economy.

GXBank is Malaysia’s first digital bank, launched in September 2023. It is a part of GXS Bank Pte. Ltd., a joint venture between Grab Holdings Limited, Singapore Telecommunications Limited (Singtel), and other Malaysian investors, including the Kuok Group.
