Bad Experience To Business World

The idea for HAAT Delivery was born out of a bad experience. While living in Zurich, Switzerland, and working at Google, Hasan decided to go to his hometown, Umm al-Fahm, for a year due to personal reasons. During that time, he realized that his hometown didn’t have the conveniences as the area lacked proper addresses, street names, and house numbers. Most transactions were still done in cash, and credit card payments were not accepted at many local restaurants.

One day, Hasan decided to order food delivery but encountered frustrating obstacles. First, the restaurants couldn’t process his credit card, insisting on cash payments. Unfortunately, he didn’t have enough cash on hand. Somehow, he succeeded in arranging everything and placing the order. However, guiding the delivery driver became a challenging task as there was no address, street name, or house number. The delivery was near impossible, and Hasan’s frustration reached its peak. That experience stuck with him, and in that moment, he thought, Everyone deserves food delivery to their home, not just those living in well-structured, big cities.”

This realization sparked a strong desire in Hasan to address this gap in the food delivery system and create a solution. His mission became clear: to make food delivery effortless for everyone, everywhere, no matter where they lived.

Ex-Google Employee To Entrepreneur

Leaving a high-profile job at a renowned company, Google, wasn’t as easy as it looks. It’s one thing to quit a stable, well-paying job, but another to dive into something uncertain—where success or failure is not guaranteed.

Hasan saw things differently. He thought that by developing a solution, he could create something that would benefit not only him, but also the entire community. This realization led Hasan to make the bold decision to leave behind his comfortable job and create HAAT Delivery, a solution designed to bridge the gap and make a real difference.

Driven by the pain points of the food service industry, an ex-Google employee became an entrepreneur and started navigating issues like logistical challenges, cash payments, unreliable point-of-sale systems, and areas without proper street addresses. To overcome these, he developed his tracking algorithm, enabling him to map and re-map the locations his business serves, turning these challenges into opportunities.

The Solution- HAAT Delivery

The plan has been made, but turning the concept into reality was not a cup of it. Working around the clock, brainstorming day and night, Initial challenges, and a little fear about the decision.

However, taking a leap of faith, in 2020, Hasan Abasi launched a food delivery solution, HAAT Delivery, based in Haifa, Israel.

HAAT Delivery is an AI-powered end-to-end food delivery platform focused on helping restaurants, customers, and delivery drivers who face challenges in traditional delivery systems.

HAAT Delivery’s goal is to make food delivery available to everyone, especially in areas that aren’t part of busy urban areas, by helping restaurants that don’t have the skills or resources to create their online delivery services, supporting people who might not have a formal street address or those who don’t use credit cards for payments, which are often required for food delivery and also helping delivery freelancers who don’t work for big courier companies, giving them a way to participate in the food delivery process.

The technology of this AI-driven HAAT platform helps make nearby restaurants and their menus easily accessible to customers with a smartphone. The platform plans the best delivery routes for couriers to ensure quick and efficient service, using smartphone location tracking to help when an address isn’t available. Additionally, it allows secure cash payments at the point of sale (POS), so customers who don’t use cards can still pay.
