Humanoid, a UK-based AI and robotics company, has opened the Middle East’s first dedicated humanoid robotics showroom in Riyadh. The launch is in partnership with QSS AI & Robotics, a leading Saudi company focused on localising advanced AI and robotics technologies.
This initiative marks a major step for AI innovation in the region and is part of a wider strategic partnership aimed at speeding up the adoption of humanoid robots across key sectors in Saudi Arabia.
The new Humanoid Lounge offers visitors an immersive look at the future of automation. It features live robot demonstrations, interactive sessions, and educational workshops, allowing people to explore real-world uses of humanoid technology.
At the launch event, the UK’s first industrial humanoid robot — HMND 01 Alpha Wheeled — showcased simulation and teleoperation tasks. Guests also experienced a unique “talk to a robot” feature, enabling direct interaction with the humanoid.
Built by Humanoid in just seven months, HMND 01 Alpha Wheeled showcases the company’s advanced engineering capabilities. Its fast development cycle enabled immediate real-world testing and validation.
Within 18 months of its founding, Humanoid completed four commercial Proofs of Concept, highlighting the robot’s industrial readiness and the company’s ability to move cutting-edge humanoid technology from prototype to near-term deployment.
Under the partnership, Humanoid and QSS have created a pre-order system for up to 10,000 humanoid units over five years. This represents one of the largest commitments to humanoid robotics in the Middle East.
QSS will act as Humanoid’s exclusive partner in Saudi Arabia and manage local assembly at the Riyadh Robotics Factory. This setup will enable rapid deployment across sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, energy, retail, and public infrastructure.
