iGoWise Mobility (iGo), an electric vehicle startup, has raised INR 8.2 crore in a pre-seed funding round from ISB Angels, 888VC, and Guptaji VC.
The company will use the funds to speed up automation, reduce production costs, improve customer experience and support, enhance R&D, and strengthen its capital to complete current orders.
“By focusing on frugal innovation, agile engineering and a robust indigenous supply chain, we’ve proven that India can build world-class EV solutions that create real economic value and social impact,” said Sravan K Appana, Founder and CEO of iGo.
iGoWise Mobility was founded in 2020 by Sravan K Appana in Bengaluru. The startup makes tough, smart electric vehicles for both urban and rural India.
Its first product, BeiGo, is an electric pickup trike with patented anti-topple leaning technology, making it safer and easier to handle.
Using 100,000 km of real-world data, the company plans to deploy 1,500 trikes in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Panjim over the next 12–18 months, working with partners like Hala Mobility and Elektric Express.
The funding comes at a time when India’s electric mobility sector is growing rapidly.
It will help startups like iGoWise develop innovative last-mile transport solutions and promote sustainable urban mobility.
