LIQUID8 secures pre-seed funding from SPIL Ventures

Indonesia-based recommerce startup LIQUID8 has secured pre-seed funding from SPIL Ventures, the venture capital arm of PT Salam Pacific Indonesia Lines (SPIL), a shipping and logistics firm.

The funds will be used to improve its e-commerce solutions, which aim to reduce overstock waste while aiding Indonesian micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

In 2024, the company reported processing more than 2,700 tons of overstock. It transfers unsold items to the wholesale market, making inventories cheaper for small enterprises.

LIQUID8 operates as an online platform that sources discounted products from various retailers, listing them online for bulk purchase by resellers and businesses. Detailed information about product conditions, shipping arrangements and payment processing are the services provided online. Buyers can acquire items in bulk at lower prices compared to retail, making it a resource for inventory sourcing and resale opportunities.
