Intel Appoints Santhosh Viswanathan as VP and MD for Asia Pacific and Japan region

Intel announced on Tuesday that Santhosh Viswanathan has been appointed as vice president and managing director for the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

Viswanathan’s role has been expanded from India to cover the entire Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.

He will manage business operations, handle the brand, and oversee customer relationships, uniting the region under one leadership.

“APJ is one of the most diverse and fast-growing regions in the world, and its strength lies in its people, partners and technology ecosystems,” Viswanathan said.

“I am excited to take on this expanded responsibility and work closely with our teams and customers to unlock new opportunities, drive growth and create lasting impact across the region.”

Before this, Viswanathan was vice president and managing director for Intel India, where he played a key role in making India an important growth market for the company.

Earlier in his career, Viswanathan managed operations across Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, and held several leadership roles in the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.

He also worked in the US as the global director of operations, where he oversaw the strategy and planning for the global sales team.

In that role, he also supported transformation projects to improve the company’s sales operations worldwide.
