Semiconductor startup C2i Semiconductors, supported by Intel’s CEO, has raised $15 million in a funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Yali Deeptech and TDK Ventures.
Founded in 2024 by former Texas Instruments executives Ram Anant, Vikram Gakhar, Preetam Tadeparthy, and Dattatreya Suryanarayana alongside Harsha S. B and Muthusubramanian N. V the company develops advanced power management solutions for next-generation compute infrastructure, with a strong focus on AI data centers and cloud platforms.
C2i is focused on pioneering system-level innovations that rethink how power flows from the grid to the processor core, tackling rising efficiency and thermal challenges driven by increasing GPU energy demands. Its “grid-to-core” architecture reduces conversion losses while improving performance and efficiency across large-scale data centers.
The new funding will accelerate product development, support rapid transition from design to silicon and expand C2i’s global presence, including a planned U.S. office and an engineering team in Taiwan.
In November 2024, the Bengaluru-based startup raised $4 million in a Series A round led by Yali Capital and Intel veteran Lip-Bu Tan, bringing total funding to around $19 million prior to this latest raise.
C2i’s first chips are expected to tape out in April 2026, followed by a second design later in the year, with manufacturing at global foundries. The company is already engaging enterprise server customers to shape next-generation power delivery solutions, positioning itself at the forefront of AI infrastructure and semiconductor efficiency innovation.
C2i Semiconductors is a Bangalore-based mixed-signal power management startup founded by industry veterans. Focused on Conversion, Control, and Intelligence, C2i delivers advanced, end-to-end power solutions. The company aims to redefine global power management with efficient, intelligent and sustainable technologies for next-generation computing infrastructure.
