DeCurret DCP Inc. and IIJ has Partnered to digitally assetize environmental value and launch DCJPY settlement transactions.
In a statement released, the two stated that IIJ had begun digital assetization of environmental values and settlement transactions in the DCJPY Network, a system made available for production verification this July by DeCurret DCP, using the digital currency DCJPY, which was created by GMO Aozora Net Bank.
The two pointed out that digital currencies might save operational costs, enable the development of new financial services, promote transparency and immediateness of transactions, and enhance the ease of cashless settlement.
As one of the new efforts in its banking as a service (BaaS) business, GMO Aozora Net Bank is reportedly taking on the task of developing new deposit account and currency types in anticipation of greater digital transformation (DX) of society.
For the DCJPY digital currency, the bank is assuming the function of minting bank.
Since October 2023, IIJ has been offering clients utilizing the Shiroi Data Center Campus a non-fossil certificate proxy procurement service. As of right now, IIJ will transform environmental values into digital assets on the blockchain and begin settling transactions through DCJPY.

To address the growing interest in carbon neutrality, IIJ will take into account the possibility of secondary distribution of the digitalized environmental value in addition to its current use at the data center.

Apart from its ecological significance, DeCurret DCP is striving to establish a novel economic domain by means of publicly available self-subscribed digital securities and DAO Fun Token amenities, among other initiatives.
