IO River raises $20 million in Series A round led by S Capital

IO River is an Israeli startup that has raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by S Capital, Venture Guides, and New Era, with support from several private investors.

With this new round, the company’s total funding has reached $25 million.

IO River was founded in July 2022 by Edward Tsinovoi (CEO) and Michael Hakimi (CTO).

The company aims to improve how websites, videos, and online services are delivered over the internet. Most companies currently depend on one big provider, such as Cloudflare or Akamai, to keep their online services fast and secure.

This creates a risk because if that single provider has a problem or goes down, the company’s entire online service can be affected.

IO River’s platform lets companies manage several CDN providers from one simple dashboard, without losing speed, security, or performance.

This makes a feature that was once used only by big tech companies available to all businesses, and it also gives smaller CDN and cybersecurity companies a chance to enter the market.

“Online services have always craved the benefits of multiple Edge networks without the operational pain,” said Edward Tsinovoi, Co-Founder and CEO of IO River. “IO River makes that possible. We’ve built a Multi-Edge platform that brings the architectural power once reserved for the enterprises of the world to everyone else.”
