Bengaluru-based startup Iom Bioworks, which focuses on advanced science and microbiome-based healthcare, has raised INR 4 crore in seed funding. The round was led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV).
The funds will be used for marketing, protecting the company’s ideas through patents, improving its main systems, and growing both its science and business teams.
Iom Bioworks was started in 2022 and focuses on personalizing health by studying important bacteria in the gut. They work to adjust these bacteria in a targeted way to help improve overall health and well-being.
Their unique platform uses a lot of information gathered with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced computer models. This allows Iom to give accurate and personalized health advice to each user.
In just their first year, Iom Bioworks served over 500 customers. They have received 2 patents and have 2 more patents in progress. They have also published important research in top scientific journals.
Iom Bioworks has set up delivery services all across India and created an easy online system for people to access their personalized microbiome health services.
