iSchool, a leading platform that teaches AI and coding to K-12 students in the MENA region, has acquired Rubikal, a well-known software engineering company.
This move will help iSchool build advanced AI products and improve its technology for schools.
As part of the deal, Rubikal’s leadership team and engineers will join iSchool.
Mohamed Ibrahim, Co-founder of Rubikal, will become the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at iSchool. Moustafa Badawy, also a Co-founder, will take on the role of Vice President of Engineering.
Along with them, a team of 21 software engineers will also join iSchool’s growing tech team.
This acquisition is based on a strong, long-term relationship between the two companies. For the past three years, Rubikal has worked closely with iSchool as an engineering partner, helping to build and grow its technology platform.
During this time, both companies developed a strong working relationship and similar work culture. This led to the decision to fully bring both teams together.
“From day one, the synergy between iSchool and Rubikal was clear,” said Muhammad Gawish, Co-founder and CEO of iSchool. “Rubikal has been an extension of our engineering team, and this acquisition allows us to fully align our capabilities as we move faster toward building the AI infrastructure that schools will depend on in the future.”
“Over the past few years, working closely with iSchool, we saw firsthand the scale of the opportunity to transform education through technology,” said Mohamed Ibrahim, incoming CTO of iSchool. “Joining forces allows us to go beyond building products to creating a full AI-powered ecosystem for schools, combining deep technical expertise with a clear educational vision.”
Through this acquisition, iSchool plans to speed up the development of its AI-based learning systems, improve its platform, and build better internal tools.
This will help the company grow stronger not just as an education provider, but also as a technology platform.
