
Torq which builds an AI-powered platform to manage cybersecurity operations automatically has announced the acquisition of Jit.
Jit is a cybersecurity company that developed AI Context Graph technology which helps security teams understand cyber threats in the context of the whole organization and respond more effectively.
The two Israeli companies did not share the exact purchase price, but it is estimated to be around $70 million.
As part of the deal, founder David Melamed and about 30 employees from Jit will join Torq.
Jit’s technology will be added into Torq’s AI security platform. This will help security teams detect threats faster, decide which issues are most important, investigate problems more effectively, and respond more quickly using AI-driven automation.
Torq was founded by Ofer Smadari, Leonid Belkind, and Eldad Livni. The company builds an AI-based platform that helps automate cybersecurity operations.
It has grown quickly and now works with many large enterprises. Recently, it raised $140 million in funding and reached a valuation of $1.2 billion.
Its customers include major global companies such as Dolby, Macy’s, Virgin Atlantic, Siemens, PepsiCo, Uber, Chipotle, Domino’s Pizza, and many others.
Jit was founded in 2021 by David Melamed and Aviram Shmueli. The company has raised nearly $40 million so far from investors like Boldstart Ventures, Insight Partners, TechAviv, Lama Partners, and Tiger Global. Since 2023, it has been led by Shai Horovitz, who previously served as Cybereason's CRO.
Over time, Jit built a strong team of engineers, architects, and developers. This team focuses on creating AI-based security tools and solutions for enterprise customers.
