Kahoot! launches APAC hub in Singapore

Kahoot!, a learning and engagement platform from Norway, announced on Monday that it has opened a new office in Singapore. This office will serve as its main hub for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, helping the company grow faster across the area.

The announcement was made at a media event in Singapore, where Kahoot! Shared its plans for the APAC region and gave a live demo showing how its platform works in classrooms and workplaces.

Kahoot! said that as more people look for lifelong learning, the company is ready to play a big role in education across APAC. It supports businesses of all sizes with Kahoot! 360 and helps schools and universities with Kahoot! EDU.

These easy-to-use tools make learning fun, interactive, and available to millions of people around the world every day.

“We’re excited to establish our APAC hub in Singapore—an ideal gateway for our regional growth,

“This marks a key step in expanding the reach of our solutions to more educators, students, and professionals across APAC,” said Ahteram Uddin, Vice President Commercial, APAC at Kahoot! During the media event.

“We’re focused on helping organizations transform onboarding, upskilling, and internal communication into engaging, impactful experiences,

“At the same time, we’re scaling our support for schools and universities through interactive tools, premium content from global partners, and a growing suite of artificial intelligence (AI)-powered features designed to make learning even more impactful for all,” he added.

Since its launch in 2013, Kahoot! has had over 12 billion participants (not counting unique users) and now has more than 25 million active users around the world. It has become a global leader in interactive learning.

The Asia Pacific (APAC) region has become a major area of growth for Kahoot!, with over 250 million participants in the last 12 months alone.

In Southeast Asia and Japan, more than 750,000 teachers use Kahoot! to make learning more fun and improve student performance. The platform is also seeing strong growth in offices and social settings.

This shows how Kahoot! is becoming more important in the APAC learning space. New AI also boosts its success features, like a smart question generator and note scanning tools for students.

Kahoot! ‘s popularity has grown further through partnerships with famous brands like Disney, Hello Kitty, TED, Peanuts, Nickelodeon, Microsoft, and more, offering fun and educational content for all ages.

In addition, localization into regional languages such as Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Bahasa Indonesian and Thai has made Kahoot! even more accessible and personalised for diverse users, according to the statement.

Since it started, Kahoot! has hosted hundreds of millions of learning sessions, with over 12 billion participants (not counting unique users) from more than 200 countries and regions.

The Kahoot! Group also includes Clever, a top learning platform for K-12 schools in the U.S., along with other learning apps like DragonBox, Poio, Drops, Actimo, Motimate, and Whiteboard.
