Lightstorm Acquires RTI Cables To Enhance Data Center Connectivity Across Asia, Australia And US

Lightstorm, a Singapore-based company that provides digital network infrastructure solutions, has announced the successful integration of assets from RTI Cables. This will help improve its global subsea and land-based network.

The company mentioned on Tuesday that with more than 75 Tbps of capacity, connections to over 25 data centers, and coverage in seven major markets—Tokyo, Sydney, Brisbane, Guam, Hawaii, Los Angeles, and Singapore—it is revolutionizing the high-performance connectivity platform for large-scale tech companies, cloud providers, and businesses.

These 21,000 km of subsea cables create a high-capacity, low-latency network that provides smooth and reliable connections for global businesses.

The network provides top-tier speed, with the quickest Tokyo-to-Sydney route covering 9,700 km in just 97 milliseconds and the most flexible Australia-to-US route through Guam and Hawaii covering 14,500 km in 109 milliseconds.

Moreover, through a strategic partner network, this expansion features the only direct Singapore-to-US route that circumvents the South China Sea, ensuring enhanced security and resilience for global businesses. This unique route is a testament to our commitment to providing the most secure and reliable connectivity solutions.
