LISSUN Acquires US-Based Being Cares to Expand Child Mental Health Services

LISSUN acquires US-based Being Cares to boost child mental health services.

AI-powered mental health startup LISSUN has acquired Being Cares Inc., a U.S.-based digital mental health company, to strengthen its services in child-focused psychological care.

Although the value of the deal was not shared, LISSUN said the acquisition will help it expand into key areas like autism, ADHD, speech delays, and learning difficulties.

As part of the deal, LISSUN has taken over Being Cares’ technology IP and entire team. The company’s co-founders, Varun Gandhi and Abhishek Sharma, have joined LISSUN as Chief Product Officer and Chief Technology Officer, respectively.

LISSUN already runs a child mental health division called Sunshine, and now plans to grow it significantly—from 20 to 200 centres—within the next 2 to 4 years.

“With Being’s AI and our clinical expertise, we are building a system that addresses families’ concerns from the very first signs, offers digital guidance, and seamlessly transitions into in-person care when needed,” said LISSUN’s founder, Tarun Gupta.

LISSUN was started in 2021 by Gupta and Krishna Veer Singh. The company focuses on solving today’s mental health problems by offering expert therapy and complete emotional wellness support.

LISSUN has built a strong internal team by hiring therapists as full-time staff. So far, it says it has helped over 75,000 people and worked with more than 350 business partners, including big names like Uber, Zerodha, and Unacademy, to support mental health at work.

Being Cares is a U.S.-based mental health startup that helps people understand their mental well-being. It offers tools such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), AI-powered journaling, and quick mental health check-ins.
