Lytmus AI Raises $580K in Pre-Seed Round led by Boundless Ventures

Lytmus AI, a Bengaluru-based startup, has raised ₹5 crore ( approx US$580,000) in a pre-seed funding round led by Boundless Ventures.

The company will use the new funding to improve its AI technology, speed up product development, and attract more students, especially those preparing for the NEET exam.

“We are very excited to back Lytmus because we have looked at a lot of companies working at the intersection of AI and education. What stood out was their approach to solving a fundamental problem — how to make personalised learning accessible at scale by leveraging the best teachers,” said Natasha Malpani, founder and general partner at Boundless Ventures.

Founded in 2024 by IIT Bombay graduates Ajit Kumar and Praveen, Lytmus AI is a Bengaluru-based startup that develops AI-powered mentors to help students prepare for competitive exams. The platform is currently focused on NEET preparation and is available as a mobile app.

The platform combines artificial intelligence with the knowledge of experienced teachers to answer students' questions instantly and provide guidance throughout their exam preparation.

Lytmus AI says its platform has two main AI systems. The first is trained using the teaching methods of expert teachers, allowing it to explain difficult concepts in a simple way.

The second AI system remembers each student's learning history, strengths, and progress. This helps it provide personalised learning support based on individual needs.

With more than 2 million students registering for the NEET exam every year, the company believes there is strong demand for personalised AI-based learning support.

According to the startup, over 16,000 students have used the platform in the last 90 days. It also claims that students using its AI mentor complete up to three times more daily practice than students who do not use the platform.
