HealthMetrics, a digital third-party administrator (TPA) from Malaysia, has officially launched HealthMetrics Indonesia. This move combines the local expertise of Across Asia Assist Indonesia (AAA) with HealthMetrics’ advanced digital infrastructure, creating a unified TPA platform set to transform healthcare administration in Indonesia and across Southeast Asia.
In a statement last Friday, HealthMetrics shared that Across Asia Assist Indonesia (AAA) has spent over a decade supporting millions of Indonesians as a TPA and international medical assistance provider, working with insurers such as Allianz, AXA, and Tokio Marine, as well as local businesses.
After acquiring AAA in 2022, HealthMetrics has rebranded the company as HealthMetrics Indonesia, marking a new phase that merges local expertise with advanced digital capabilities.
The rebrand aims to offer faster, smarter, and more efficient healthcare administration for insurers, corporates, healthcare providers, and members across Indonesia and the wider region.
Along with the launch of HealthMetrics Indonesia, the company introduced three key digital solutions: the HealthMetrics Cloud Platform, the Global Member App, and the International Assistance Hub.
These offerings represent a new chapter in healthcare administration, designed to be scalable, intelligent, and patient-centric, which enhances efficiency, transparency, and access to care both within Indonesia and internationally.
“Our digital-first approach aligns closely with Indonesia’s vision for Indonesia Emas 2045, aiming to build a connected healthcare ecosystem that improves outcomes for all,” said Dr. Madan Mohan Vasandani, CEO of HealthMetrics Indonesia.
Building on its trusted support for insurers and large enterprises, HealthMetrics Indonesia extends its award-winning, ISO 27001-certified cloud platform to a broader corporate audience.
This platform equips HR and business leaders with real-time insights to monitor health trends and implement effective wellness strategies—driving healthier, more engaged, and productive teams.
By promoting health equity, affordability, and improved access to care, HealthMetrics addresses the rising demand among Indonesian companies for digital tools that manage healthcare costs, enhance employee well-being, and strengthen organizational resilience.
“No single entity can solve Southeast Asia’s fragmented healthcare system. However, by aligning technology, partnerships, and purpose, we can co-create a connected, borderless healthcare future,” said Alvin Yuan, Co-founder and CEO of HealthMetrics Group.
He expressed his excitement about the unification with the Indonesian team, who bring a strong track record as a leading TPA and the largest assistance provider in Indonesia.
Technology is a cornerstone of HealthMetrics‘ vision for a borderless healthcare ecosystem. The HealthMetrics Cloud Platform in Indonesia will seamlessly connect insurers, corporations and healthcare providers to manage domestic and international policies.
HealthMetrics offers a range of features designed to ensure efficient and high-quality care delivery, including instant member enrollment, AI-driven claims processing, fraud detection, cost containment and real-time insights.
The HealthMetrics Global Member App further enhances the experience by allowing users to link multiple insurance policies, access global care, request guarantee letters and claims, and enjoy wellness benefits—all from a single app.
To improve cross-border care, the HealthMetrics International Assistance Hub provides access to over 15,000 direct billing healthcare providers through its regional TPA network, ensuring smoother coordination and better provider terms.
With this robust digital infrastructure, HealthMetrics has quickly become a leading digital TPA since its founding in 2015, establishing a strong presence in Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
“Our focus is not just on digitization, but on intelligent digital solutions that bring cost savings, transparency, and control to all stakeholders in the healthcare journey,” said Advent Phang, Co-founder & Group Chief Technology Officer of HealthMetrics Group.
HealthMetrics has served over 100 insurers and over 3,000 corporate clients, facilitating medical care through a network of over 15,000 healthcare providers.
The company is rapidly expanding its impact across Southeast Asia and will exceed $1 billion in cumulative medical treatments by the end of 2025.
