MATRADE Teams up with Nazsoft Tech to launch MADANI Digital Trade, Boosting Malaysian Exports

MATRADE has teamed up with Nazsoft Tech and the Royal Malaysia Customs Department (RMCD) to launch MADANI Digital Trade (MDT), a platform aimed at helping Malaysian exporters reach global markets.

MATRADA said in a statement on last Thursday that MDT offers business matching functions, an e-marketplace, market intelligence on grants, training, market access and trade-related business solutions.

Minister of Investment, Trade & Industry (MITI) Tengku Zafrul emphasized the importance of digital trade in driving economic growth and its alignment with Malaysia’s trade and digital economy policies. “Digital trade is a key enabler of Malaysia’s economic transformation, as outlined in the MADANI Economy Framework and MITI’s New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030, This initiative also supports Malaysia’s commitment to the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA), positioning the country as a regional leader in digital trade. The MDT will enable our SMEs to expand market reach, enhance trade efficiency and accelerate digital adoption – ensuring Malaysia remains competitive in the global digital economy”.

This partnership uses automation, AI, and data analytics to improve trade processes, including customs declarations for imports and exports, e-commerce, and regulatory compliance.

Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Chairman of MATRADE, pointed out that the MDT aligns perfectly with our government’s strategy to leverage digital tools for greater market access and intelligence. “This platform is a strategic approach that has the potential to empower our exporters of all sizes to connect with global markets, accelerate market diversification, and ultimately, achieve greater success in line with our target of increasing the digital economy’s contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) from 19.1 percent in 2019 to 22.6 percent by 2025,”.

Muhammad Nazrol bin Zawawi, Chief Executive Officer of Nazsoft Tech, echoed these words by pointing out that this strategic initiative can act as a comprehensive information portal, providing Malaysian exporters (MSMEs) with access to vital information, regulations and services. “By among others consolidating grants, training, permits and up-to-date market intelligence, the platform enhances transparency and streamlines trade efficiency,”.

The MDT platform has key features like a Virtual Engagement Platform that connects companies with MATRADE’s Premium Buyers and International Sourcing Programs (INSP), helping businesses find potential buyers in different markets.

It also includes an e-Marketplace and Market Aggregator, allowing small businesses (MSMEs) to showcase and sell their products, connecting Malaysian brands to the global market and helping them adapt to changing trends.
