The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) and CIMB Bank have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together on boosting high-value and sustainable investments, strengthening industrial ecosystems, and improving Malaysia’s competitiveness.
The partnership connects Malaysia’s national investment priorities with CIMB’s regional financial network, helping move capital into projects that support technology adoption, supply chain strength, and sustainable business growth.
Under this MoU, MIDA and CIMB will create investment programs that go beyond traditional promotion. Investors and businesses will get access to customized financial solutions, cross-border advice, and sustainable financing options.
CIMB will use its banking expertise to support both foreign and local investors, helping Malaysian companies expand into new markets, join regional supply chains, and meet ESG and green-transition goals, while also helping SMEs grow and participate in high-value industries.
The collaboration will also include data insights, publications, and knowledge sharing to strengthen policy developments and enrich investor engagement.
