Mober Opens Phillipines's Largest EV Charging Hub

Philippine-based EV logistics firm Mober, has launched Central Charge, the country’s largest commercial EV charging hub.

Located on D. Macapagal Avenue in Pasay City, the 3,000-square-meter facility has 56 charging ports for it’s fleet of e-vans and e-trucks. With a three-shift system, it can charge up to 200 EV trucks daily, ensuring continuous operations.

Unlike public EV stations, Central Charge is built specifically for logistics needs. It features 50 slow chargers (7kW) and two fast chargers (60kWh) to reduce vehicle downtime and improve efficiency. Strategically placed near Metro Manila’s key commercial hubs, it supports smooth mid- and last-mile deliveries for clients like IKEA, Nestlé Philippines, and Maersk.

This expansion happened after Mober opened its first charging hub on Zamora Street, Pasay City, in 2023. The initial hub covered 800 square meters and had 30 charging units.
To boost sustainability, it plans to add solar panels and a 500 kWh battery storage system at Central Charge. These upgrades will help cut carbon emissions and support Mober’s goal of expanding its EV fleet to over 500 by 2026.

“We are proud to launch the biggest commercial EV charging hub in the Philippines in Pasay City. At Mober, we’ve been committed to finding solutions to infrastructure challenges since our transition to EVs in 2021. Central Charge demonstrates our vision to pave the way for a cleaner, more efficient future for our clients and solidify the Philippines’ place at the forefront of sustainable logistics in Southeast Asia,” Mober founder and chief executive officer Dennis Ng said.

“Central Charge is not just an infrastructure investment, but it’s a strategic step to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly delivery solutions while maintaining our zero-emission commitment,” Ng said.

This milestone comes after it introduced the country’s first electric tractor head truck in February, reinforcing its commitment to leading the shift to EVs in logistics. Mober’s efforts align with the Electric Vehicles and Charging Systems (EVIDA) Act, supporting the Philippines’ push for eco-friendly policies. With Central Charge, Mober aims to further build a greener future for the country’s logistics sector.
