NeoSapien raises $2 million seed round led by Merak Ventures

NeoSapien, the company that created India’s first AI-powered wearable device, has raised $2 million (INR 18 crore) in a seed funding round led by Merak Ventures.

Several well-known angel investors also took part, including Awais Ahmed (Founder of Pixxel), Anupam Mittal (Founder of Shaadi.com), Sameer Mehta (Co-Founder of boat), Namita Thapar (Emcure Pharmaceuticals), and Aprameya Radhakrishna (CEO of Koo).

The money will be used to speed up product development, grow the brand, and hire more team members in important areas.

“We’re building technology that fades into the background so you can stay present in your life. Think about the cognitive load we carry – remembering conversations, following up on context from weeks ago, piecing together information. Neo 1 handles that seamlessly. We’re freeing up human intelligence for what actually matters,” shared Dhananjay Yadav and Aryan Yadav, Co-founders, NeoSapien.

Sheetal Bahl, Founding Partner at Merak Ventures said, “Seldom has India had a chance to participate in a global, tectonic shift, but with PAIAs, it has a real shot at doing so. NeoSapien is by far the top contender to take India there. Aryan and Dhananjay have achieved something incredible already – creating a cracking consumer product out of India in less than a year and with a paltry sum of money, but that’s just the start. We believe NeoOS will power hundreds of millions of upcoming AI consumer wearables sold in India and across the world every year.”

Founded in 2024 by Dhananjay Yadav and Aryan Yadav, NeoSapien is a next-generation AI company shaping the future of wearable intelligence.

Its flagship product, Neo 1, is an AI-native wearable designed to turn everyday conversations into actionable insights. The startup aims to create a new category in personal technology—one that blends adaptive intelligence with human intuition.

Neo 1 works like a Personal AI Assistant, or a “second brain.” This always-on device remembers important information, learns over time, and gives helpful insights at the right moment without needing constant attention. It supports over 100 languages, from Kannada to Mandarin, and uses smart technology and innovative hardware to help users capture, organize, and process daily conversations and tasks in real time.

NeoSapien plans to create the main operating system for all AI assistants, including devices like glasses, pendants, watches, and rings. Its NeoCore SDK will let businesses build apps on top of this AI platform.

Merak Ventures, run by Manu Rikhye and Sheetal Bahl, is an early-stage investment fund that supports companies solving real-world problems and creating big impact in B2B and emerging technology areas.
