
Neurotechnology startup Sychedelic has raised US$3.5 million (around Rs 31.5 crore) in a seed funding round to grow its business and expand into global markets.
The funding round included support from angel investors such as TurboStart, Ideabaaz, and Praveek Ventures, along with investors from India, the UAE, and the NRI community.
The company plans to use the new funds for marketing, increasing production capacity, expanding research activities, and preparing for its global Kickstarter launch scheduled for May 2026.
Founded by Ria Rustagi and Bhavya, Sychedelic a startup based in Gurugram and New York, is building what it says is the world’s first smart neuromodulation wearable in the form of headphones for daily use. The device uses neurostimulation, biometric tracking, and AI technology to understand a user’s mental condition in real time and respond accordingly.

The wearable combines technologies such as tDCS, binaural beats, and HRV biofeedback to provide personalized experiences that can help reduce stress, improve focus, support better sleep, and improve overall mental wellness.
According to the company, more than 100 early users have tested the product over the last six months, helping the startup improve both its hardware and AI systems through feedback.
Sychedelic has also received approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), which has classified the product as a medical device in India. The company has also filed global patent applications that are currently under review. The startup currently operates in both India and the US as it prepares for an international launch.
