NTT DATA, a tech company from Japan, has signed a partnership deal (MoU) with Booz Allen Hamilton, a U.S.-based technology firm, to improve cybersecurity in Singapore and the wider Indo-Pacific region.
The two companies will work together to tackle current and future cybersecurity challenges. These include areas like threat intelligence, zero trust security, and advanced automated systems to detect and prevent cyber threats.
By combining their strengths in cybersecurity research and innovation, NTT DATA and Booz Allen plan to explore new ways to use AI in cybersecurity and malware defence.
The two companies will have their top researchers work closely together to develop new and innovative cybersecurity solutions.
They will focus on important and growing areas like advanced threat detection.
To support this, they will run knowledge-sharing activities and fast-track training programs to build skills and strengthen each other’s expertise in key security areas.
NTT DATA’s experts and Booz Allen’s resources will be used to help expand this partnership across the region.
In Singapore, a recent report by the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) showed that only about 70% of local organizations are following the recommended cybersecurity practices.
As government agencies like Singapore’s CSA continue to push for full adoption of cybersecurity measures, tech companies are helping to close the gap by offering support and resources.
This new partnership brings together experts, tools, and advanced technology from both NTT DATA and Booz Allen to create new services and solutions designed to tackle Singapore’s specific cybersecurity challenges, the statement said.
“This MOU brings together NTT DATA’s cybersecurity expertise with Booz Allen’s exceptional tradecraft and resources to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the unique challenges faced by our customers,” said Png Kim Meng, Chief Executive Officer, Singapore, NTT DATA.
“As the digital landscape evolves, robust solutions and capabilities are essential for a successful cybersecurity strategy,
“Together, we are well-positioned to advance our clients’ cybersecurity priorities, particularly in critical areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), malware engineering, and threat intelligence,” he added.
Garrettson Blight, Vice President at Booz Allen, said the partnership with NTT DATA is an exciting chance to expand its services and tackle the biggest current and future cybersecurity challenges for its clients in Singapore and other regions.
“Together with NTT DATA, we strive to introduce, deliver, and support a range of advanced cybersecurity solutions from threat intelligence to zero trust,
“We look forward to contributing to increased security and resilience in Singapore and the broader Indo-Pacific region,” he added.
The statement said this partnership shows both companies’ strong commitment to improving cybersecurity and helping businesses handle growing digital threats with confidence.
NTT DATA is part of the NTT Group, which spends over $3.6 billion each year on research and development to support a safer and more sustainable digital future for businesses and society.
