NTT DATA, a Japan-based digital business and technology services company, announced on Friday that it is partnering with Microsoft to speed up AI-powered cloud transformation across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
NTT DATA said in a statement that it has launched its NTT Data business unit for Microsoft Cloud to meet rising demand for secure, AI-driven enterprise cloud transformation.
The global unit combines NTT DATA’s strong industry knowledge and technical skills in Microsoft Cloud, security, and AI solutions to speed up cloud modernization, expand the use of Agentic AI, and manage complex sovereignty and compliance needs.

Operating in over 50 countries, NTT DATA’s Microsoft Cloud unit has a large team of certified experts with 24,000 Microsoft certifications. It helps clients speed up their digital transformation worldwide.
The unit combines skills in cloud-native development, cybersecurity, system monitoring, and Agentic AI, while working closely with Microsoft’s technology roadmap and engineering teams.
Aishwarya Singh, Senior Vice President and Head of the Global Business Unit for Microsoft Cloud, lead the Microsoft Cloud unit at NTT DATA. It builds on NTT DATA’s long partnership with Microsoft to strengthen its capabilities and expand its global presence, positioning the company as a trusted partner for enterprise transformation.
To speed up adoption, NTT DATA is aligning its sales, pre-sales, and delivery teams with Microsoft. Together, they help clients design, build, secure, migrate, and implement Microsoft Cloud solutions that deliver measurable results across industries, including regulated markets.
The unit’s main focus areas include scaling Agentic AI, developing modern cloud solutions, accelerating developers, improving digital experiences, and supporting sovereign cloud adoption.
This announcement comes after NTT DATA launched its Agentic AI Services for Hyperscaler AI Technologies, built on Azure and Azure AI Foundry. These services have already created nearly 100 enterprise client opportunities, including with Newell Brands.
According to NTT DATA, this strong interest highlights the growing demand for AI-powered automation, intelligent workflows, smooth enterprise integration, and scalable solutions that bring AI out of the lab and into real-world use.
NTT DATA is also scaling support for multi-agent models by leveraging Azure AI Agent Service on Azure AI Foundry.
