NTT DATA Teams Up with Finastra to Grow Lending Cloud Service in APAC

NTT DATA, a Japan-based IT infrastructure and services company, has partnered with global financial software firm Finastra to expand its lending cloud service for banks in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Finastra said in a statement on Monday that this collaboration will support its lending cloud service, strengthening the delivery of managed services for financial institutions across the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific (MAAP), and Latin America (LATAM) regions.

Financial institutions in the region will benefit from faster setups, smarter automation, and a more flexible lending experience, the statement said.

It also said that NTT DATA will now manage the application lifecycle for Finastra’s lending cloud service, helping to improve scalability, standardization, and efficiency across the platform.

“This is a natural evolution of our relationship with NTT DATA, a partner that deeply understands our technology landscape and shares our vision for delivering world-class, cloud-based lending services,

“By partnering with a company familiar with our architecture and operating models, we can accelerate client onboarding and provide a resilient, high-performing service,” said Andrew Bateman, Executive Vice President (EVP) for Lending at Finastra.

David Gold, Vice President for Cloud Services and IT Modernization at NTT DATA, added the firm is proud to extendits partnership with Finastra as part of a broader strategic vision.

“Our experience in large-scale financial environments positions us well to help Finastra deliver highly automated, reliable cloud services to banks across these regions,

“This partnership brings together innovation and operational excellence to transform the banking experience,” he added.

The solution they developed together includes tools to track, report, and meet service-level promises.

For NTT DATA, this partnership is a key chance to grow its product range. They have already started working together on a plan to bring this solution to more customers and make a bigger impact in the financial services industry.

This is especially important for APAC markets, where financial services are moving to the cloud faster than ever. According to Finastra’s recent survey, over 27% of financial institutions worldwide have improved or started using cloud solutions in the past year.

In APAC, countries like Vietnam (56%), Hong Kong (46%) and Singapore (44%) are leading the way in updating their operations.

These markets know that improving cloud technology and using API-based tools are not just advantages but are necessary to stay competitive.

As Finastra and NTT DATA work closer together, they plan to change lending systems in APAC and LATAM by offering modern, compliant, and scalable solutions that meet today’s fast-changing financial market needs.

The statement also said this expanded partnership strengthens Finastra’s leadership in managed services and shows its commitment to customers and its strong goal to bring cloud innovation to institutions around the world quickly and flexibly.
