Nurix AI Acquires Verloop.io to Boost AI-Powered Customer Engagement

After the acquisition, Nurix AI will combine its NuPlay voice AI platform with Verloop.io's chat and voice automation technology. This will help create a more complete AI solution for businesses.

Verloop.io currently manages more than 20 million customer interactions every month. By combining both platforms, Nurix AI will offer AI agents that can handle both voice calls and chat, making customer service faster and more efficient.

The acquisition comes at a time when businesses are looking for more than basic chatbots. Companies now want AI platforms that can manage voice calls, chat, and business workflows in one place instead of using different tools for each task.

The deal will also help Nurix AI grow its customer base and strengthen its leadership team. Gaurav Singh, the founder of Verloop.io, will join Nurix AI to lead product strategy, enterprise growth, and the development of AI agents.

Founded in 2016, Verloop.io provides AI-powered chatbots and voice agents for customer support, sales, and marketing. Its platform supports more than 80 languages and serves businesses across 21+ industries in India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

Over the years, Verloop.io has raised nearly $8 million from investors, including Ranjan Pai, IDFC-Parampara Fund, Praitithi Investment Trust, and Kris Gopalakrishnan.

The acquisition follows Nurix AI's ₹135 crore funding round a few months ago, led by Prosus and its existing investors. The funding is being used to expand the company's business in India and the US and improve its AI technology.

Founded in 2024 by Mukesh Bansal and Abhishek Asawa, Nurix AI develops AI-powered voice and chat agents for customer service, sales, and business operations. Its customers include super.money, Myntra, Cult.fit, and Aditya Birla Capital.

By acquiring Verloop.io, Nurix AI plans to provide businesses with a single AI platform that combines voice, chat, and customer engagement tools, making it easier to automate customer interactions and improve service efficiency.
