Nuvie Raises $450K in Pre-Seed Funding Round Led by PedalStart

Food and beverage (F&B) startup Nuvie has raised $450,000 (around ₹3.8 crore) in its first pre-seed funding round. The round was led by startup accelerator PedalStart, with additional support from well-known investors like Mukesh Bansal (founder of Myntra, Cult. fit, and Nurix), Ayyappan R, Chanakya Gupta, and Arun Sharma.

The money raised will be used to create new products, build the brand, make content, expand distribution, and explore new growth opportunities.

Nuvie was co-founded in May 2024 by Prashant Paliwal and Hem Narayan. The startup wants to change the way people in India think about healthy eating by offering “better for you” products like healthier milkshakes and chocolates that are both tasty and good for you.

Their goal is to remove the pressure and seriousness often linked to health and instead make it feel easy, fun, and a natural part of everyday life.

Nuvie has already launched a lactose-free, ready-to-drink protein shake in three flavours. Now, it’s getting ready to launch five new shake varieties.

The company also plans to release other exciting products, like a protein chocolate bar (a healthier version of regular chocolate) and a protein-packed cold coffee, which they call “Proffee.”

Nuvie has grown quickly and is now available in over 100 premium retail stores in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. You can also find its products in more than 200 gyms.

To reach more customers across India, Nuvie is selling through popular quick commerce platforms like Blinkit, Instamart, and BigBasket. The brand is also working on growing its online presence through its website and fast delivery apps.

Bengaluru-based startup Nuvie says it got off to a strong start, making over ₹10 lakh in monthly revenue right from its first month. Now, the company is aiming to reach an annual revenue run rate (ARR) of ₹10 crore by the end of 2025.
