Ola Krutrim Acquires BharatSah'AI'yak to Boost AI Solutions for Public and Government Services in India

Ola’s AI company, Krutrim, announced on Friday that it has bought BharatSah’AI’yak — an AI platform built by Samagra. This platform is known for helping with government projects in areas like education, farming, and public services.

With this purchase, Krutrim plans to use the platform in its own AI tools, cloud services, and its new AI assistant app called Kruti.

Krutrim said this step will help bring AI to more people by making it easier to use in public services, businesses, and citizen platforms.

As part of the deal, the main AI team from Samagra has also joined Krutrim.

The BharatSah’AI’yak platform will be added to Krutrim Cloud and its AI system to help build tools and solutions for government and public services.

“Integrating BharatSah’Ai’yak into the Krutrim ecosystem widens its offerings, lending cutting-edge AI-centric assistance and support to a range of government initiatives, programs and schemes—thereby spearheading and strengthening the democratisation of AI, making it beneficial and accessible to every Indian. We have onboarded the country’s brightest minds to develop a platform that reflects the diversity, depth, and richness of Indian languages and culture,” said a company spokesperson.

BharatSah’AI’yak focuses on India-specific AI chatbots using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology, offering both text and voice support in local languages. It was used to create KumbhSah’AI’yak, an AI chatbot launched for Maha Kumbh 2025, which provided round-the-clock, multilingual help to pilgrims with rituals, directions, lodging and events.

Krutrim supported this project by offering open-source LLM services.

BharatSah’AI’yak was also used to create AMA Krushi, a voice-based AI chatbot in Odisha. It helps farmers by giving them advice on farming and information about government schemes in their local languages.

Recently, Krutrim launched Kruti, an AI assistant that can do full tasks like booking a cab, ordering food, paying bills, creating images, and helping with research.
