Singapore-based ourteam, an AI-powered recruiting platform for Asia, has raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-seed funding round led by First Move, with support from well-known Silicon Valley investors.

The funding will help ourteam expand across Asia and improve its AI technology, with the goal of transforming how companies hire talent in the region.

In Asia, recruiters face a big challenge — one job opening can receive hundreds of applications, making it hard to review each one quickly and fairly. This manual process often leads to inconsistent results and missed opportunities.

According to ourteam’s research, companies usually get more than 70 applicants for each job, but only about three people are interviewed, and one is hired. This process makes the average hiring time longer than 35 days.

ourteam’s AI interviewer helps solve this problem by conducting structured, role-specific interviews for many candidates at once.

The platform gives each candidate a fair and multilingual interview experience and provides clear, comparable insights to recruiters within hours instead of weeks.

At the heart of the platform is an AI interviewer that conducts adaptive, human-like video interviews lasting 5 to 20 minutes. These interviews are available in English, Bahasa Indonesia, and Vietnamese.

The system uses “screening intelligence” to give accurate scores based on each candidate’s skills, experience, and job fit. It then provides short AI-generated summaries and requirement checks to help recruiters make quick decisions.

The platform is designed for enterprise use and offers customized candidate experiences, role-based dashboards, audit trails, and data exports that easily connect with existing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and workflows.

According to Kong, companies using ourteam’s technology have seen up to 70% faster shortlisting and 50% less screening time thanks to its human-like AI interviews. Early clients include Prenetics, SenangPay, 42KL, Decube, and Arysun.
