Peppermint Secures $4 million in Series A Round Funding

Peppermint, a company that builds smart robots for commercial and industrial use, has raised ₹34 crore (~$4 million) in Series A funding. Investors include JDSS, ENRISSION INDIA CAPITAL, IAN, Vinners, and several angel investors.

The company makes autonomous robots for tasks like floor cleaning and moving materials, along with accessories like docking stations. These robots help solve labor shortages, boost efficiency, and support sustainability using energy-saving tech powered by their own Peppermint OS and “Skateboard” system.

Their robots are easy to set up and manage, with cloud dashboards and mobile apps that give real-time updates for better decisions.

Runal Dahiwade, Founder & CEO, Peppermint, said, “Given the challenges posed by labor shortages and increasing sustainability demands across industries, our solutions are positioned to offer both operational benefits and environmental improvements.

Dahiwade said, “This funding will support four key priorities—advancing international product offerings and compliance, expanding into the EU, Japan, and APAC regions, further developing our operating system to support both our robots and OEM partners, and building the necessary infrastructure to meet demand,”.

Peppermint, started in 2019 at SINE IIT Bombay, has received funding from several investors including NKK Group, SINE, Venture Catalysts, IAN, Voxtur Ventures, Vinners, JDSS, and ENRISSION INDIA CAPITAL.

With the latest round, Peppermint has raised a total of ₹49 crore (~$5.6 million). After entering the US market in 2024, the company now plans to expand into Europe and the Asia-Pacific region by 2026.

The new funds will also help improve its core technologies—Peppermint OS and Skateboard—and support the launch of a restroom-cleaning robot in 2025–2026. The company aims to automate repetitive tasks in industries shifting from low-skilled to higher-skilled labor.
