Pony.ai has launched its Robotaxi passenger service in Singapore with the help of ComfortDelGro. This is an important step in the company’s global growth plans.
People can now use the self-driving taxi service in Punggol. The service runs on a 12-kilometer route that connects neighborhoods like Punggol Northshore and Waterway Sunrise.
The route also connects important places such as Oasis Terraces, Punggol Plaza, One Punggol, and Punggol Coast Mall, making it easier for people to travel for shopping, entertainment, and daily needs.
The service is connected with Singapore MRT and local bus services, making it easier for people to complete the “last part” of their journey.
The full trip takes about 55 minutes, which can save commuters up to 15 minutes compared to regular public transport.
Right now, selected residents in Punggol can use the service and share their feedback before it is launched for everyone.
Pony.ai co-founder and CEO Peng Jun said: “Singapore is a key market in the company’s global roadmap, and the partnership with ComfortDelGro marks a more advanced stage of deployment, bringing autonomous driving into real-world commuting scenarios. He added that the company will continue deepening collaboration with local stakeholders to expand the service further”.
Pony.ai started operating in Singapore in September 2025 through a partnership with ComfortDelGro, the country’s largest transport company.
Before this, both companies had tested self-driving transport services in Guangzhou. They are now using that experience to expand into international markets.
This also supports Singapore’s goal of improving first- and last-mile travel, making it easier for people to complete their journeys.
