Prisma Photonics Secures $30 Million to Grow Its AI-Powered Infrastructure Monitoring Network

Prisma Photonics, a tech company based in Tel Aviv, has raised $30 million in new funding.

The company uses artificial intelligence to turn ordinary optical fiber cables into powerful, real-time sensor networks. With this latest round, Prisma Photonics has now raised a total of $80 million.

The funding round was led by Protego Ventures.

Other investors included Adara Ventures, which is connected to a major Latin American power company, along with Insight Partners, Chione Switzerland, and SE Ventures, the venture capital arm of Schneider Electric.

Prisma Photonics’ Hyper-Scan Fiber-Sensing platform is already being used across thousands of kilometers of critical infrastructure.

It is currently deployed by 15 major power transmission operators in the U.S. and Europe.

The system turns regular optical fiber into a smart, continuous monitoring network. It can detect, identify, and locate different events — such as intrusions, power grid congestion, or wildfire risks — with very high accuracy, down to the meter.

As Prisma Photonics grows in the U.S. and Europe, the new funding will help the company expand into Latin America as well.

“Our AI capabilities allow us to translate raw optical fiber signals into actionable intelligence in real time,” said Dr. Eran Inbar, Prisma Photonics’ CEO. “That means our technology can protect a military installation one day and optimize renewable energy integration the next. This funding accelerates our mission to make the world’s infrastructure safer, smarter and more resilient.”
