Salesforce Launches $500M AI Initiative in Saudi Arabia with Key New Hire

Salesforce has announced it will invest $500 million in Saudi Arabia. This move shows the company’s commitment to helping the region grow and innovate.

The investment will also focus on training people in AI skills and growing Salesforce’s network of local partners to better support businesses in Saudi Arabia.

The announcement was made today at the LEAP 2025 event. It follows Salesforce’s earlier promise at Davos to grow its presence in Saudi Arabia by opening a new regional headquarters in Riyadh.

More regional businesses are now using Agentforce, Salesforce’s digital work platform. This shows that demand for AI-powered tools is rising, highlighting Salesforce’s strong focus on AI technology in Saudi Arabia.

As part of its growth in Saudi Arabia, Salesforce will launch Hyperforce, its advanced platform, in the country. This will be done through a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

With Hyperforce, Salesforce’s global customers can run their services using local cloud systems in Saudi Arabia. This also helps local businesses and workers use the latest Salesforce tools while following the country’s rules and regulations.

“Salesforce’s investment in the Kingdom is a continuation of our shared commitment to drive AI growth,” said His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Alswaha, Minister of Communications and Information Technology. “We look forward to seeing Salesforce expand its presence here and welcome the investment in AI that will drive unprecedented innovation and operational efficiency, supporting the realization of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.”

“We are entering a new era where autonomous AI agents working with humans are transforming workforces and businesses across the globe,” said Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO of Salesforce. “With Agentforce, Hyperforce, and our global partner ecosystem, we empower Saudi organizations to deliver unprecedented levels of productivity, growth, and customer success.”

Agentforce is an AI solution that helps businesses improve their teams by using intelligent AI agents to assist in daily tasks. It’s already helping companies worldwide grow by using AI to support their work.

Salesforce is teaming up with companies like Capgemini, Deloitte, Globant, IBM, and PwC to bring even more customized AI solutions to Saudi Arabia. These partnerships will provide local businesses the expertise they need to unlock new growth opportunities.

Salesforce is also committed to training 30,000 Saudi citizens in AI skills, increasing women’s workforce participation to promote inclusivity.

To help with this, Salesforce plans to partner with Princess Nourah University (PNU) in Riyadh, the world’s largest women’s university. This partnership will offer AI-focused learning and job training to female students. The goal of using Salesforce’s Trailhead platform is to equip the next generation of women leaders in Saudi Arabia with the skills they need to succeed in the digital economy, supporting the country’s Vision 2030 for inclusive growth.

“We are thrilled with our cooperation with Salesforce. This investment not only underscores their confidence in our vision and capabilities but also paves the way for groundbreaking advancements in education,” said Dr. Ala Alluhaidan, Dean of Development and Quality Deanship at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University. “Together, we are committed to fostering innovation, empowering our students and impacting society.”
