Saravanan Krishnan has been Appointed by Dell Technologies as the New Country manager for Malaysia

Saravanan Krishnan has been appointed by Dell Technologies as the country manager for its operations in Malaysia.

Mak Chin Wah, who moved to a new position as Dell Technologies’ country manager for Asia Emerging Markets, is succeeded by Saravanan.

Saravanan has over 25 years of expertise in the IT sector, which she contributes to this position. In his new role, he will be in charge of general leadership and carrying out the sales plan to expand Dell’s operations in Malaysia.

Saravanan began working with Dell in 2015 and has occupied a number of high-level managerial roles. Prior to then, he served as general manager of the Data Protection Solutions business for South Asia and Emerging Markets.

Most recently, he was general manager of the Unstructured Data Solutions business throughout Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China. Prior to joining Dell, Saravanan was a leader at Hitachi Vantara, HPE, Sun StorageTek, and IBM, among other IT firms.

In addition to serving as the previous chairman of the Storage Networking Industry Association for South Asia from 2013 to 2015, Saravanan is an active member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.

“I am very excited about Saravanan’s appointment as the new leader for our team in Malaysia,” said Grainger Wallis, senior vice president and managing director, South Asia and Emerging Markets, Dell Technologies. “His extensive experience and knowledge in the IT industry across the region will help support our customers’ and partners’ technology ambitions and reinforce our growth strategy in this market.”

He graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Information Systems and the Helsinki School of Economics with an Executive MBA.
